Oleichandanpur  is a very prosperous model village in BinjharPur tahasil, Jajpur district, Odisha state. It is 30 km distance from its district main city JajPur And 154 km distance from its state main city Bhubaneswar. The village is bounded on the east by the Singhpur village, on the west by village Bachhol, on the south by Kharasrota river, and on the north by cultivatable land. As per the 2011 census of India, Oleichandanpur had a population of 4,577 of which males was 2,146 while the number of females were 2,411 and the number of house holds was 916. The village has modern amenities including Electricity, Telephone, Post Office, Primary and Higher Secondary Schools etc. It looks green as there are many plantations in the inner part of village. For the purpose of hospital and market the villagers depend upon the district main city and near town.

Day by day Oleichnadanpur village is progressing in all branches, like educational, economical, cultural, in business and development for renovations and newly construction of houses with new demands of present time.  There are primary and secondary school with teaching facility up to the matriculation stage. It has produced Teachers, Professors and Engineers. We are also grateful to the people of our village who have served and presently serving in the defense forces of India and also some civil service under Central and State Government. Farming is the main occupation with a large number of people migrating to find jobs. Although a small village, almost every house has at least one member who resides and earns his living outside Oleichandanpur. Village NRIs are living in every part of the world and playing a major role in the development of the village.

Historical Lord Shiv Temple, Lord Jagannath Temple and many other places of worship of different faiths exist here. It is believed that Lord Shiv Baba Odeswar who is the village deity protects this village in all kinds of disaster.
